This is an Sony DSLR-A700 ISO320 shot using the Sigma
70-300 APO DG 1/320 f13 processed in CS3 ACR 4.2. ACR does not always
produce the best results, but it's tough to break the habit of using it!
These are all with the Sony A-700 DSLR and the Sigma
70-300 APO DG except for the first one which is the Sigma 10-20. The ISO range is
between 200 and 800 on these pictures. The A700 was feeling good today.
It was very windy today so I headed downtown
to get a few shots. This is a Sony A700 raw shot at ISO200 1/200 f11 with
the Sigma 10-20 at 13mm. This one is pretty much straight from the camera with
just a hair of sharpening. This one is an CS3 ACR 4.2 conversion.
Sony A700 ISO1250 f8 1/200 Plastic Fantastic Vivitar 100MM
RAW Converted with IDC 2.0 to 16 bit Tiff. No adjustments, no sharpening,
no noise reduction...basically straight from the camera on the 100 percent crop.
Again I find it a bit difficult to see any A700 watercoloring even in this ISO1250 shot.
Sony A700 ISO1000 f5 1/640 Plastic Fantastic Vivitar 100MM
RAW Converted with IDC 2.0 to 71MB Tiff No adjustments, no sharpening, no noise
reduction, basically straight from the camera.
It was quite windy so a decent shutter speed had to be
used here. I find it quite difficult to see any A700 watercoloring in this shot,
don't you think? Remember, no sharpening or NR has been applied.
A700 ISO3200 1/800 f8.0 Camera JPG in the wind handheld.
This is not a great Sony A700 ISO3200 test
shot, but I only took a couple at 3200 today and I wanted to post something.
:-) At ISO3200 JPG enough detail remains to make some reasonable smallish
prints and of course screen displays too.
